TOP TEN MOST Asked Questions:

  1. Q: Are CCA shops certified, and how long have your shops been in business?
A: Yes, we are certified with I-CAR, ASE and Certified First.
We have been in business since 1973 as Mulder’s Collision Centers, and incorporated a name change to Collision Centers of America in 2004.
  1. Q: Are the repairs done here and is there a warranty or guarantee?
A: Yes all the repairs are done here with the exception of the alignment. We have a lifetime guarantee for as long as you own the car and a nationwide guarantee if you move out of state.
  1. Q: How long will the repair take, will I be without a car, or do you have loaners?
A: Based on a visual estimate it will take X number of days to repair your vehicle. Once we disassemble your vehicle we will be able to determine if there is any hidden damage and call you regarding any additional time needed for these repairs.
If you need a car we have rental programs with Enterprise.
  1. Q: Can you assist or help me save on my deductible?
A: Your deductible is a binding contract with your insurance company.
We do not enter into negotiation over your deductible. We do have an “easy pay” program that will allow you to make three equal payments on your deductible.
  1. Q: Can you also fix “THIS” or roll this repair into the insurance coverage?
A: We are willing to do buff and touch up for free as a customer courtesy and we can do additional repair work on a separate ticket however we cannot role it into the insurance claim. However, we can show you a considerable savings on the repair of “old damage” while your car is here for repair!
  1. Q: Will the color match and what about my special rust proofing, etc.?
A: Yes, the color will match. We have an in-house “paint kitchen” and we will match the color using a computer.
We have computer software that allows us to match your color. If you have had special rust proofing on your vehicle, you will need to wait 90 days and take it back to the dealer who provided that service and they can reapply it. The insurance will pay for this as part of your claim.  (We will place a line note in the estimate regarding their special rust proofing)
  1. Q: Will my car be the same and do you use original parts? How about hidden damage?
A: We will restore your vehicle back to factory specifications. We will use parts that meet or exceed your factory specs.
Regarding hidden damage, once the vehicle has been disassembled we will be able to determine what else has been damaged. We will then deal directly with the insurance company and we will also call you to inform you of what we have found.
  1. Q: How much will it costs, or why does it cost so much?
A: I will be able to tell you how much it will cost as soon as I can enter the information into the estimating system.
Re: Why so much? Technology has escalated the cost of repairs, and the parts to repair newer vehicles.
  1. Q: Who will communicate with my insurance company?
    A: We will.

  1. Q: How soon can you start working on my car and how long will it take?
A: I can start as soon as we have your authorization, immediately… on Tuesday, etc. … based on your estimate, and parts needed, it will take X number of days.
